Introduction
The specialty in Food Agroindustry at Benjamín Herrera Technical School aims to train high school students with skills in food production. The goal is to ensure the development of safe and high-quality food products from the transformation of raw materials such as fruits, vegetables, bakery products, meats, and dairy. The program runs during the tenth and eleventh grades of the technical secondary education. Four work areas are taught: fruits, vegetables, and bakery in the first year, and meats and dairy in the second. Additionally, to obtain certification from SENA and graduation from the school, students must complete a practical stage in agroindustrial sector companies.
Objective
To train high school students at Benjamín Herrera Technical School for the food agroindustry sector through the development of specific job competencies, enabling them to perform successfully in the workplace and pursue higher education.
